Torta alle mele (an Italian version of the famous apple pie)
First of all, whip the eggs with sugar, vanilla and lemon peel with the help of an electric whip. Whip for at least 3 minutes at a very high speed until you get a frothy and light mixture.
Then, proceed to add the melted butter and continue to mix with the whisk.
After this, start adding the flour, the baking powder, one spoon at a time and alternating with the cream. Continue stirring at medium speed until you finish the ingredients.
Pour the dough into a casserole for desserts that was previously buttered and floured. Level the dough so that there are no bumps.
Cut the apples into slices and arrange them on the dough in circles starting from the outside. Slightly sink them. Sprinkle the surface with a mixture of cinnamon and icing sugar.
Bake your apple pie in a static oven for 45 minutes at 180°.
The time can change depending on the oven that you are using. When done, remove your pie from the oven and let it cool down for around 30 minutes.
Sprinkle with icing sugar and serve!
